To invest or to regret?
Have you seen the new season of Beau Coops? I was attacked with super envy whenever I saw them around but I have had some curiously mixed reviews from those who took the plunge with Ms Coopers last collection.
While they are made in Italy and feel nice on initially, the wear and tear on them are said to happen after almost one wear. Not to say that I don't adore some of her styles- I am pleased I broke the bank on my Maurie and Eves is all.
Hopefully it was just a bad collection in terms of quality. I find that somewhat hard to believe however given her extensive shoemanship training. We'll see!
LOVE the booties with the plaiting down the side and can't wait to check out the candystripes in the flesh. Maybe I will re-convert back?

Stevie Crush.
Opening Ceremony with my girl, Chloe.
I came across these the other day as I was drooling over my lady-crush Chloe Sevigny and I thought it was fitting to show you seeing as we were just talking about the very-much-so-coveted, Opening Ceremony!
These are all just so many levels of right. I wish I had the balls to wear things like this everyday. Not just the mornings when I have too many redbulls for breakfast!
I especially love the short-sleeved leopard print dress in the middle. I fear that I may always be a sucker for those spots! (I could definitely take or leave those "leather" boot leg pants though. Love leather, hate pretend materials and HATE flare!).
xx

Givenchy

Fall 2010 couture, Paris.
"Riccardo Tisci's claimed his inspiration was Frida Kahlo and her three obsessions: religion, sensuality, and, given the painter's lifelong battle with spinal pain, the human anatomy. The zipper pulls were little bones, a belt was a spinal column re-created in porcelain. The dominant motif of the collection was the skeleton, laid out flat in the lace appliquéd on a long tulle column, or rendered in three dimensions in obsessively dense clusters of crystals, pearls, and lace on the back of a jacket in double silk duchesse satin. Nestled in the middle? A tiny ceramic skull sprouting angel wings. At one point during his presentation, Tisci rather tellingly muttered, "A romantic way to see death."" - By Tim Blanks
